Information We Collect

Device permissions

The App may request or use the following permissions for core functionality:

• WAKE_LOCK — to keep the device screen awake when enabled.
• BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE — optional; used only if you enable accessibility-based app-monitoring features to detect foreground apps.
• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW / overlay permission — optional; required to show the brightness overlay on some devices.

Analytics and crash reporting

We may collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports (for example via Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics or similar services) to help improve the App. These reports may include device model, OS version, app version, and anonymized usage patterns. They do not include personally-identifying data unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, in a support message).

Logs and diagnostics

The App may generate local logs for debugging. Aggregated or crash logs may be sent to remote services when crash reporting is enabled.

How We Use Information

• Provide and maintain App functionality (e.g., keeping screen awake, dimming overlay).
• Improve the App via aggregated analytics and crash reports.
• Respond to support requests if you contact us and voluntarily provide information.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services (such as Firebase) to provide analytics, crash reporting, and distribution. These services have their own privacy policies; we encourage you to review them.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data to comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, or to protect rights, property, or safety.

Data Retention

We retain crash reports and analytics data for as long as needed to operate and improve the App. If you request deletion of any account-related data, contact us at [email protected] and we will evaluate and respond to reasonable deletion requests.

Your Choices

• Opt-out of analytics: if the App provides a setting to opt out of analytics or crash reporting, you can disable it in Settings.
• Permissions: you may revoke optional permissions (accessibility, overlay) via your device settings. Revoking permissions may limit some App features.

Children

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Use caution when sharing personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we do.
